(January 18, 2017) – Acuity Polymers announced today US FDA clearance for its second gas-permeable (GP) contact lens material available in the US.   Acuity 18 is a low Dk fluorosilicone co-polymer for use in custom and specialty GP contact lenses.  It has excellent machining and optical properties and is ideally suited where a thin lens profile is preferred or indicated.

(December 12, 2016) – Acuity Polymers announced today US FDA clearance for its first gas-permeable (GP) contact lens material available in the US.   Acuity 100 is a highly oxygen permeable fluorosilicone co-polymer for use in custom and specialty GP contact lenses.  The company is starting the process of appointing leading US laboratories as alternate manufacturing sites for Acuity 100 GP contact lenses.
